The Singles Championship is played annually. Names are drawn from a bag, with the first player drawn paired with the second drawn, the third player drawn paired with fourth etc. until all members are matched with their singles opponent for the first round of the championship.

Played over 15 ends, using four woods each and with an independent referee, matches are played on mat one, as part of our regular Monday playing session, with other members not involved, utilising mats two and three for their friendly games and practice.

This is a knock out championship, with the winner from each match progressing forward through each knock out stage, until we have two remaining players to contest the final, which takes place on the club’s finals day, with the final of the club’s Doubles Championship.
