Club Doubles Championship

The Doubles Championship is played annually. Names are drawn from a bag, with the first player drawn paired with the second drawn, the third player drawn paired with fourth etc. until all members are matched with their partner for the that years championship.

Played over 13 ends, using three woods each and with an independent referee, matches are played on mat one, as part of our regular Monday playing session, with other members not involved, utilising mats two and three for their friendly games and practice.

This is a knock out championship, with winners from each match progressing forward through each knock out stage, until we have two pairs to play in the final, which takes place on the club’s finals day, with the final of the club’s Singles Championship.
